先日のプチ同窓会は、時間の都合で上野まで車で行った。車中では安原先生と楽しく仕事の話ができて、とても有意義な時間を過ごせた。

さて、しかし・・・。車を予約してあった上野パーキングセンターに駐車した後、もう一度エンジンをかけようとしたら、キュルキュルとセルが弱々しい音をたててそのままかからず仕舞い。あちゃー、焦りました。もともとあまり乗る車ではなかったのですが、そのせいかこの夏にもバッテリーが放電してしまったためJAFのお世話になること2度。不安になって7月に新品に変えたばかりなのに、またか!

幸いその日は宿泊だったので、車も1泊で予約してあったから良かった。翌日のぺリオコースの後、JAFに来てもらったのだがその時は充電してもらうことなくギリギリでかかってくれた。しかし、電圧は弱く、このままエンジンを絶対に切らないで千葉まで帰るようにと念を押された。

乗ろうとしてかからないのはまだ良いが、出先でかからなくなるのは困る。今回はたまたま駐車場だったから良かったが、これが道端だったりしたら怖い。日頃からバッテリーの電圧チェックは欠かせないと痛感した。そんなわけで、手っ取り早くこまめに充電できるものはないかと物色したら、これがいいかなと思いAmazonで即買いした。もちろん当日お届け便(Amazon Primeによる)だ。

一応充電はしたが、時間の都合で満充電までは行っていない。それでも電圧はしっかりと上がったのでちょっとひと安心(笑)。これからはたびたびチェックをすることにしよう。

最低でも1日3回、5回を推奨と書いてあるが、現実的には可能か?

Most bacteria and yeast in the mouth are unable to make use of xylitol.
